The Nox app

Nox runs entirely on your device. It does not connect to the internet, phone home, or transmit any data whatsoever. All filter computations happen locally on your Mac using the macOS display gamma API. There are no accounts, no telemetry, no analytics, and no crash reporting built into the app.

Nox does not collect, store, or have access to any personal information, browsing activity, screen content, or usage patterns. Your data stays on your machine.

Website

The Nox website at getnoxapp.com uses PostHog product analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. We use these services to understand which pages people visit and whether visitors download Nox or purchase a license. Google and PostHog may use cookies or similar browser storage as part of this tracking.

The information collected by these analytics services may include:

  • Pages visited on getnoxapp.com
  • Referring source (how you arrived at the site)
  • Browser type and device information
  • IP address (processed by the analytics providers)
  • Clicks on Nox download, purchase, support, sharing, review, and interactive website controls

This data is processed by Google and PostHog under their respective privacy policies. We do not send names, email addresses, payment details, or health information to PostHog. Session recording and automatic interaction capture are disabled. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and PostHog's Privacy Policy.

Purchases & payments

License purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), a third-party payment processor. When you buy a Nox license, Polar collects your email address and payment information to process the transaction and deliver your license key via email.

We do not directly handle, store, or have access to your credit card or payment details. Polar manages all payment processing and license key delivery. For information about how Polar handles your data, refer to Polar's Privacy Policy.

The only personal information associated with your purchase is the email address you provide to Polar for license key delivery.

Data we store

None. We do not operate servers that store user data. We do not maintain user accounts, profiles, or databases of personal information. The Nox app stores your filter preferences locally on your Mac in standard macOS preferences files.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since Nox does not collect any user data and purchases are handled by Polar, no age-related data is processed by us directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Effective date: February 8, 2026
